Responsible officer for ASQ awarding organisation providing AO service to approved delivery centres, writing process and procedures to meet regulatory conditions, annual self-assessment declarations, quarterly invoicing, development of regulatory qualifications including regulatory submission to frameworks and externally verifying Levels 1,2 and 5 occupational qualifications.

The Role of ASQ Operations Manager

To direct all operational activities of ASQ to ensure that business objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

  • Contribute to ASQ strategy in the areas of design, delivery, evaluation and award of qualifications to ensure that the ASQ achieves its short and long-term objectives.
  • Complete tasks directed from ASQ board.
  • Direct and oversee operations staff to ensure that they are motivated and trained to carry out their responsibilities to the required regulatory standards.
  • Develop, implement and review ASQ policies and procedures to ensure that core operational objectives are met.
  • Support stakeholders with the review, development and evaluation of qualification and assessment products.
  • Review operational budgets and quarterly accounts submitted by finance to promote profitability and ensure the company has all the resources required to meet its objectives within agreed financial parameters. Prepare quarterly accounts for ASQ board and regulatory submission each quarter.
  • Ensure that ASQ awarding body service is of the required standards meeting regulatory and own compliance.
  • Submit purchasing request to Finance to ensure that the company has the goods and services required for production purposes within agreed costs and quality standards and at the right times.
  • Direct and control certificate supplies to ensure that customers are supplied with the correct regulatory branded certificate within timescales.
  • Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies for ASQ and for its approved delivery centres.
  • Maintain working relationships with all other board members and stakeholders, to ensure effective co-ordination of all company activities in support of corporate objectives.
  • Evaluate overall company performance by gathering, analysing and interpreting data and statistics for board review.
  • Act as the company’s main adviser on all issues relating to operational functions and compile a report for each quarterly board meeting.
  • To Manage the Quality Assurance of the qualifications and associated assessment in order to conform to regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the submission and completion of appeals and malpractice incidents reported to ASQ
    Manage the approval and ongoing interaction of approved delivery centres.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies for completion of annual self-assessment, consultation reviews and ad hoc communication requests as and when necessary.
  • Quality assure Diploma in Golf Management submissions, leading the team of external verifiers to ensure consistent, valid and reliable appraisal of candidate assessment.
  • To oversee the development and maintenance of ASQ website.
