About ASQ
Associated Sports Qualifications (ASQ) is a regulatory approved Awarding Body providing a qualification awarding and endorsement service to Governing Bodies, Lead Bodies for sport and other sport-related organisations.
We are based on the site of The Belfry Hotel, near Sutton Coldfield, at the home of the Professional Golfers' Association: National Training Academy.
An Independent Limited Liability Partnership, ASQ provides a high quality awarding body service for qualifications and learning programmes
ASQ is regulated by:
- Qualifications Scotland Accreditation (The Qualification Regulators in Scotland)
- Ofqual (Office of Qualifications and Exam Regulator for England)
- QW (Qualification Wales)
We are required to maintain compliance via the Qualifications Scotland Accreditation Principles (2021) and the General Conditions of Recognition (QW, and Ofqual) to ensure a high standard of qualifications and cost effective quality assurance on behalf of our partners, customers and learners.
ASQ Vision
TO PROVIDE A QUALIFICATION AWARDING AND ENDORSEMENT SERVICE TO GOVERNING BODIES, LEAD BODIES' OF SPORT THAT HAVE AND SPORT ORGANISATIONS THAT HAVE:
- A strong desire to influence the content and quality of qualifications and learning programmes within their own sport to ensure that they are fit for purpose.
- A desire and capability to provide the necessary expertise to facilitate the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of their programmes.
- willingness to underwrite the financial implications of their actions and forecasted uptake of the qualifications and learning programmes.
- The capacity to deliver and assess the qualifications to the required ASQ and regulatory standards
